OCTOBER 14-24, 2022
Hannover Jazz Orchestra is coming to Kansas City!
Kansas City’s jazz scene will take on an international flair this fall when the Hannover Jazz Orchestra visits Kansas City for the first time. The October visit is part of a Sister City jazz exchange program between the cities of Hannover, Germany and Kansas City.
"Our joy in playing always reaches the hearts and legs of our audience. The soloistic freedom of our arrangements showcases the charisma and excellence of our musicians. Our repertoire includes original arrangements by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Woody Herman, as well as contemporary compositions and arrangements. We will perform some of our members’ compositions representing their specific European way of jazz based on classic and original folk sounds and rhythms.”
