Kansas City jazz great, David Basse, will be performing with the Hannover Big Band Jazz Orchestra at Knucklehead’s on Tuesday, October 18th beginning at 7pm.

Since 1982, David Basse has been at the forefront of the music scene in Kansas City, taking the torch from such legends as KC pioneers Charlie Parker, Count Basie, and Jay McShann. Traveling the world, singing the praises of his adopted hometown, Basse has been compared to many of the greats.

Whatever listeners hear in Basse’s well-seasoned voice makes them respond enthusiastically. Basse has hosted The Jazz Scene on Kansas Public Radio since the turn of the century. In 2009, he was a founding member of the cast of the nationally syndicated radio program 12th Street Jump. He then went on to create Jazz with David Basse, in early 2013.
